Trinseo ERP Upgrade Information for Customers

Trinseo is working to enhance the capabilities of our ERP system to better service our business requirements. The implementation of this new system and its capabilities may bring some changes to the way you conduct business or place orders with our company.

Trinseo has begun using its upgraded ERP system at all North America sites on May 2 and Asia Pacific sites on August 2.  The company's European site implementation will take place on November 1.

You will see changes in the format of some documents such as:

  • Invoices,
  • Certificates of Analysis, and
  • Certificates of Compliance.
  • Key Changes and Sample Documents

We thank you in advance for working with us as we make this important enhancement to our system. Should you have any questions, please contact your Account Manager or Customer Service Representative.

Please only focus on those documents that are applicable to you.

Key Change Description
Certificate of Analysis (COA)

You will see format changes to the batch number as well as the overall structure of the Certificate of Analysis (COA), including:

  • Greenwich Mean Time is displayed at the top of the COA
  • The logo is moved to left hand side of COA
  • The shipped from fields are formatted a bit differently

Certificate of Compliance (COC)

You will see some changes to the format of the Certificate of Compliance (COC):

  • Greenwich Mean Time is displayed at the top of the COC

  • The shipped from fields are formatted a bit differently
Customer Statements

If you currently receive a Customer Statement, you will notice the information is displayed in a different format; however, the content will remain the same.

If you do not currently receive Customer Statements and would like to receive them, they will be available upon request

Invoice

Invoices will have a different layout. All information currently on the invoice will continue to appear; however, some of the information may be placed in a different location on the document.

Invoicing entity Trinseo Europe GmbH will change into Trinseo Export GmbH. Further details will be communicated by your customer service representative.

Purchase Order Acknowledgement

If you would like to receive Purchase Order Acknowledgments (POA) when you place an order, they will be available upon request

  • North America and Latin America: May 2016
  • Asia Pacific and Europe: Dates forthcoming
Shipping Documents

These following changes are common for all shipping documents:

  • Logos will no longer appear on shipping documents (except for the existing pre-printed forms).
  • Shipment numbers will be changing from 7 characters to 8 characters.
  • Dangerous Goods (DG) information will now include more specific information for each leg of a multi-modal shipment.
  • All information currently on the shipping documents will continue to be on the form, however, some of the information may be found in a different place on the document.
