Trinseo Begins Annual Global Community Volunteer Days Program

Company Sets Goal of Fifty Percent Employee Participation, Building on 2014's Twenty Two Percent Volunteerism

Berwyn, PA - Monday, May 18, 2015

Trinseo (NYSE: TSE), the global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex and rubber, today announced that it has begun its annual community outreach program, Volunteer Days. The program encourages employees and their families to volunteer in support of the local communities in which Trinseo operates, involving 2,100 employees in 27 countries around the world. This year, Volunteer Days began on May 16, 2015 and will run for 30 days, leading up to the company's five year anniversary celebration on June 17.

Volunteer Days projects can be any activity for public benefit that ties to the company's community relations themes of environment, improving the community, and education. Projects are done in collaboration with an existing non-profit organization that has a similar mission related to these themes.

“Supporting the local communities in which we operate is a core value at Trinseo,” said Chris Pappas, president and CEO, Trinseo. “Ever since we formed Trinseo in 2010, employees have been actively volunteering. This new program will expand and connect our volunteering activities globally, and will allow us to recognize and raise awareness for volunteering.”

Trinseo has released a video featuring Chris Pappas speaking about the new Volunteer Days Program. The video can be viewed on the company's YouTube channel.
