Trinseo Hosts Unveiling Ceremony for New ABS Plastics Production Line in Zhangjiagang, China

Local government officials and Trinseo management officiate event

HONG KONG - Wednesday, November 29, 2017

Trinseo (NYSE: TSE), a global materials solutions provider and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, officially launched its ABS production line at its Zhangjiagang site, the Company’s latest strategic investment in China, with a unveiling ceremony.

Officiating guests of honor included Mr. Hu Jun, Vice Mayor of Zhangjiagang, Mr. Xu Jianbo, Deputy Secretary of Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone Party Work Committee, Mr. Weng Yuren, Deputy Director of Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee and other departmental representatives of the government. They were joined by some of Trinseo’s senior management including Mr. Tim Stedman, Senior Vice President and Business President and Ms. Francesca Reverberi, Global Business Director, Basic Plastics. Neighboring companies, major suppliers, overseas Trinseo employees and Zhangjiagang site staff also joined the celebration.

The milestone event leaf included a lion eye-dotting ceremony, a festive and lively lion dance, as well as an activation ceremony. In his speech, Mr. Hu Jun encouraged Trinseo to continue with its development rooted firmly in Zhangjiagang and to practice the concept of sustainable development. Mr. Tim Stedman, in his welcome address, thanked the staff of Zhangjiagang for their hard work and dedication. He also noted that Trinseo had been operating in Zhangjiagang site for nearly two decades. The local government and neighboring companies have extended a lot of support for Trinseo. The Company knew when it  decided to grow and develop further in China, that choosing Zhangjiagang was the best option.

The joyful event concluded after the activation ceremony highlighting “MAGNUM™ ABS, Proudly Made in China” followed by rounds of applause and group photo taking.
