Trinseo Achieves Exceptional Global EH&S Performance in 2017

Trinseo (NYSE: TSE) a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders, and synthetic rubber, announced today that eighteen manufacturing teams and three global research and development groups earned Trinseo’s Triple Zero Award in 2017, marking another exceptional environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) performance by company employees across the globe. In 2017, twenty-one of the thirty eligible global sites achieved this high recognition for safety, represent nearly 1,400 employees in 10 countries.

“Trinseo is committed to continually reducing injuries so that none of our people get hurt at work. Feeling safe at work in fundamental to motivating people and consistent with Trinseo’s core values,” said Chris Pappas, Trinseo President and CEO. “Low injury rates indicates professionalism and attention to detail that prevents injuries and larger process upsets.”

The Triple Zero program was created in 2010 to recognize company facilities and groups that complete a calendar year with zero injuries according to U.S. OSHA criteria, zero spills and zero process safety incidents according to criteria set by the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
