Trinseo Indonesia Holds Customer Technical Training Session for Hartono

PT. Hartono Istana Teknologi is Indonesia's local home appliance manufacturer with its brand name "Polytron". The company produces a variety of products from televisions, audio sets, refrigerators, air conditioners to washing machines, plus also the assembly of mobile phones.

Training

On December 13, 2018, Trinseo Indonesia conducted a technical product knowledge training session for Hartono's employees at their headquarters in Kudus, Central Java. More than 40 Hartono employees attended with job backgrounds ranging from managers to operators in positions such as engineering, quality control, R&D, and purchasing. Dony Wahyudi and Osbert Baramuli, both from Trinseo Indonesia, as well as Kurt Wong, Senior Development Specialist, Plastics TS&D APAC, provided information about Trinseo's plastics materials (PS & ABS) including the processing of these polymers through extrusion / injection methods. Simultaneous translation into Bahasa Indonesian was performed onsite to ensure the best coherence and communication.

During the two-hour presentation, participants frequently raised questions, leading to a great deal of constructive exchanges. After lunch, a visit to the injection machines was conducted, where Trinseo technical personnel were able to provide more solutions to overcome some issues faced by Hartono employees in that area.
