Trinseo has received the Silver Medal level of achievement for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from EcoVadis, a leading sustainability assessor. Trinseo’s score of 54 places the company in the top 30 percent of the 6000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis in 2015. The average company score was 42.
“We are very proud and excited that Trinseo has been awarded the silver level of achievement by EcoVadis,” said Catherine Maxey, Vice President, Public Affairs, Sustainability and EH&S. “This reflects the hard work of Trinseo people across the globe who are committed to operating sustainably and responsibly.”
Trinseo established its Sustainability/CSR program in 2010 at the time the company was formed, and has continued to add new elements each year – including a Supplier Code of Conduct in 2015.
“Achievements in sustainability assessments like EcoVadis require that companies continuously improve, because the bar is constantly being raised in terms of societal expectations,” said CJ Redd, Americas EH&S Leader, who also leads the third party sustainability assessment process and EH&S metrics for the company globally. “To maintain our silver level, we will need to continue strengthening our sustainability programs in 2016 and beyond.”
