VELOX, a distributor of Trinseo medical resins in Europe that partners with Trinseo’s Consumer Essential Markets (CEM) Medical Devices business, successfully positioned Trinseo’s EMERGE™ PC/ABS 7700 Advanced Resins for Mo Fe Ma’s fetal monitor application. The material was specified because of its unique ABS component. Produced using Trinseo’s proprietary mass polymerization technology (vs. an emulsion process), Trinseo’s ABS results in exceptionally white base resin, which was essential for the application requiring the base color with as little yellowing as possible for ease of coloring.
Trinseo’s CEM business continues to pursue its strategy of targeting startup companies. These are the organizations that have a tendency to value the personalized service and custom solutions that CEM offers.
