Trinseo + COMMUNITY: Trinseo Korea Donates Amplifier System to a Charity with Employee Connection

Unlike some volunteering work, Trinseo Korea has embarked on an ongoing initiative where three to four staff volunteers participate on a monthly basis. Since July 2017, Trinseo Korea has been volunteering at Ulsan Happiness Power Station, a charity providing services such as organizing mini-concerts, special speakers on subjects like health tips, as well as courses teaching the Korean alphabet to the illiterate. The charity also offers free lunch services by running a food donation center that enables more than 150 elderly and low-income people to enjoy four hot lunches every week. The employees at the Ulsan site take turns in assisting the food distribution service and cleaning the kitchen and the restaurant areas.

In late 2018, Trinseo Ulsan took their service a step further by donating an amplifier system with wireless microphones to the same charity for use at events such as mini-concerts, group meetings, fun festivals, and education programs.

Trinseo Korea acts as a role model in that the staff opts to do meaningful volunteer work continually, as well as contributing to the well-being of elderly and low-income people in the community.
