Trinseo + COMMUNITY - Trinseo Hong Kong Donates Tablets to Support Children’s Online Learning amidst School Closure During Pandemic

School lives have not been the same for months due to the pandemic. Understanding the importance of education during COVID-19 and its contingency planning, Trinseo Hong Kong has collaborated with Hands On Hong Kong and donated more than 60 computer tablets to children for their online learning during school closures. The beneficiary schools include Hong Kong Christian Service Pui Oi School, Tun Yu School and Hong Chi Shiu Pong Morninghope School. The tablets have come in time to help school children in need.

A subsidized co-educational school for students with physical and intellectual disabilities, Pui Oi School strives to provide a well-rounded education and whole person development to assist students in unleashing their potentials, and to guide them in becoming confident and resilient citizens in the community. Tun Yu School is a subsidized co-educational primary school, a "village school," established over 80 years ago. The school aims at providing a happy learning environment for students and focuses on five ways of life - moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic. Due to its proximity to Lok Ma Chau Control Point and Huanggang Port of Entry, some 50% of students are from Mainland China and commute daily between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

The first and the only school catering for the needs of students ranging from mild grade to severe grade intellectual disabilities, Hong Chi Shiu Pong Morninghope School is the fourteenth special school of the Hong Chi Association. Hong Chi Association is dedicated to providing quality service in educating, training and empowering people with intellectual disabilities and their families and to improve services on a continuous basis.
