The Midland Business Alliance, formerly known as the Midland Chamber of Commerce, recognized local businesses and individuals during its first annual meeting (since being renamed) on Thursday, February 7. The awards honored up-and-coming businesses, stand-out organizations, and individuals that have established a lasting legacy in the area.
Trinseo was nominated for the Large Business of the Year award which honors an organization with 50+ employees that demonstrates workplace quality, community involvement, and business growth.
“Midland has been — and continues to be — an important location for the company,” said Jeff Denton, Senior Vice president Corporate Development and Business Services. “Since day one, we’ve worked hard to establish a strong reputation in the Midland community. Given our history and the powerful heritage of Dow Chemical in Midland, it’s taken hard work, dedication, and time to stand apart and develop our own identity in the community as Trinseo.
“It’s a significant honor to be recognized publicly for attributes that are essential to our corporate culture and strategy. Workplace quality, community involvement, and business growth are fundamental elements that make our company successful and our employees proud to come to work each day. In Midland, the impact Trinseo makes in the community through volunteerism, and charitable giving grows each year due to our passionate and talented team, which was a huge factor for this recognition.”
