Sustainable Workforce

Sustainable Workforce

Trinseo’s future success lies in making investments in our employees today, because developing our workforce now is required for building strong and capable leaders of tomorrow.

We work with our employees to develop and implement personalized career plans based on their professional goals.

To align with this professional growth strategy, we invest in training and new programs for our employees to create and maintain an environment that welcomes a broad range of diverse talents and fosters a culture of collaboration and inclusion. Through strategic workforce planning, we can better understand our current and future capability needs and identify opportunities for employee development that align with their professional goals.

Our values are centered around community service, environmental protection, safety, innovation, commitment to customers, and sustainability. Environmental, health, and safety are among our highest priorities, which means that every decision we make prioritizes the safety of our people, our communities, and the environment.

Sustainable Workforce is just one part of our Sustainability Goals, which together will help us achieve a more sustainable future for our company and the communities we serve.

Our Sustainability Goals
Our culture is brought to life by the people who are passionate about Trinseo, and our Sustainable Workforce goals reflect the inclusive, diversified environment we want to foster in our offices and facilities.

We recognize that building a strong pipeline of candidates for management positions requires sustained, long-term effort. Our approach focuses on strengthening early-career talent partnerships, expanding recruiting channels, and enhancing hiring and development processes to attract, identify, and prepare qualified candidates for leadership opportunities.

In 2025, Trinseo experienced an incident rate of 0.18 which represents injuries and illnesses per 200,000 hours worked. We support several ongoing initiatives to eliminate work-related hazards and minimize risk, including our Safe Summer and Beyond program, which focused on increasing hazard recognition.

Based on our 2025 analysis, we have not identified any groups whose voluntary turnover rate is significantly different from the global voluntary turnover rate of 4.85%. Gender-specific analysis, for example, shows turnover rates that are proportionate and do not indicate systemic imbalance.

We are working to establish metrics for success while expanding our talent programs.

While we are making progress against this goal, we are also working to establish metrics and targets to help us measure success.
