As a global materials provider, we believe that every solution can be sustainable while meeting the performance needs of our customers. In order to quantify the sustainability claims of our solutions, we invested in scientific tools to track their environmental impact through Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprints (PCF). Additionally, we take part in industry initiatives like the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Responsible Care® program and Operation Clean Sweep® that help us implement housekeeping practices to mitigate our environmental impact. Together, these efforts allow us to manufacture innovative, sustainably advantaged solutions while minimizing potential harm.
Circular and sustainably advantaged solutions remain a top priority for our customers and their end-users. In 2023, Trinseo sold 121.8kt of sustainably advantaged materials, which makes up 6.8% of all our portfolio sales this year. This continued interest demonstrates an opportunity to further grow our innovative product portfolio.
