Trinseo Guangzhou Volunteer Day: Extending a Helping Hand to Those in Need

The Trinseo Guangzhou office joined forces with an NGO in the Conghua District of Guangzhou, China to extend a helping hand to local communities in need.

On July 22, 2021, a donation was made to the Conghua Social Service Center to support charitable activities that help the underprivileged. The donation supports programs focused on youth growth resources, household remodeling, visits to the elderly, haircuts for those in need, and providing additional educational resources for those in rural communities.

In addition, on the morning of July 30, 15 volunteers from the Guangzhou office and 12 family members visited farms in the Conghua District, picking and purchasing agricultural produce to ensure local farmers, struggling through a difficult year, did not lose their harvest. In the afternoon, the group also visited eight elderly members of a nearby village and presented them with a “Package of Love”. Each package included an electric fan, rice and cooking oil.

Although these activities took place during a rainstorm, those who participated were excited to lend a helping hand to those in need.
