APIGO™ TPO Compounds

APIGO™ TPO Compounds were developed to meet the market demands for materials characterized by high impact resistance at low temperature, low density and good chemical resistance.

APIGO™ materials consist of polyolefin-based compounds modified with elastomers. They are alternatives to flexible PVC wherever halogen-free products are required. Although APIGO™ TPO Compounds have been very successful throughout the years, we have never lowered our research commitment to further improving these materials.

They meet the market requirements for alloys with rigidity lower than conventional polypropylene, but with special characteristics for specific applications in various markets such as the building industry, home furnishings, automotive, electrical domestic appliances, and thermo-hydro sanitary. Customers also use APIGO™ TPOs for toys, footwear, and household products.

Main technical characteristics of APIGO™ TPO Compounds are:

  • Large range of hardnesses (20 ShA - 60 ShD) and elastic modulus
  • Excellent performance at low temperatures
  • Chemical resistance to acids and bases
  • Co-molding to polyolefinic substrates
  • Special grades: food contact approved (10/2011/EU, FDA)
  • Special grades for airbag covers
  • *Recyclability
