Trinseo Zhangjiagang Embarks on a Charity “Relay” for Volunteer Days 2020

The current epidemic has restricted the scope of our annual, company-wide Volunteer Days activities at most locations. However, Trinseo Zhangjiagang (ZJG) has taken a new approach, organizing both physical and virtual events to make a difference during this difficult period.

A waste collection activity was organized on October 18, 2020 at the Yangtze river near where the ZJG site is located to further address environmental protection. Many employees and their families spent a great day working on this meaningful initiative.

ZJG employees and their families have also started working on a charity “relay” planned around other physical and virtual activities. The “relay” recognizes the actions of Trinseo employees and / or their families including but not limited to donations made related to the epidemic or to the under-privileged (in cash or in kind), blood donations, volunteering in local communities, participation in online and offline charitable events, etc. The target is a total of 300 manhours of volunteering by the end of 2020.

These activities are part of a global CSR effort and tied to the annual Trinseo Volunteer Days initiative during which employees are encouraged to increase their community involvement.
