Trinseo’s Zhangjiagang (ZJG) site joined hands with the local Emergency Management Agency, the Fire and Rescue Brigade, and other charitable organizations in holding outdoor Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities on November 4. The event was organized to raise awareness and spread knowledge about fire protection and other topics related to safety and social responsibility. All activities took place just before Fire Day in China, which occurs on November 9, and the participants included both Trinseo employees and their families.
The day began with a presentation by Guangqi Lu, site leader of Trinseo’s ZJG site, which focused on the latest Sustainability & CSR Report. Outdoor demonstrations and training focused on emergency rescue followed (such as the Heimlich maneuver). There was also a charity sale to raise funds for the underprivileged.
The events were very well received and attracted some 200 participants. Employees of Trinseo ZJG and their families spent a meaningful afternoon learning about the value that Trinseo, a Responsible Care® Company, places on social responsibility and safety.
