Trinseo China Awarded 2021 Responsible Care® Chairman Award

Trinseo China officially joined Responsible Care® China in 2017. On June 21, 2021, the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM) Responsible Care® Award Ceremony was held in Nanjing, China. At the event, Trinseo was awarded the "2021 Chairman Award" that aims to commend its member companies for their outstanding practices in Responsible Care® and their outstanding performance in promoting the sustainable development of the chemical industry.

Trinseo officially signed on to the Responsible Care® Guiding Principles in 2010 and pledged to operate our business globally according to these principles. As a Responsible Care® company, the health and safety of our employees and the protection of our communities are our highest priorities. AICM is currently the representative body of the Responsible Care® program in China and is responsible for the promotion and implementation of the Responsible Care® program in the country.

In addition to adhering to the Responsible Care® principle, we also have a very comprehensive code of conduct and an excellent safety culture,” commented James Ni, Managing Director, APAC. “While the Responsible Care® Merit Award Trinseo received in 2017 confirmed the efforts we made in our production facilities, supply chain, sales, R&D as well as product safety teams in different parts of China, the 2021 Chairman Award reaffirms that the strides we have taken in our sustainability journey are in the right direction.”

In addition, Trinseo is also committed to contributing to the development of the communities where we operate. We regularly organize CSR activities such as "Public Open Day", "Volunteer Days" and "community donation" under our Trinseo + COMMUNITY program to actively interact with neighbors and communities, as well as enhance public awareness.
